General Upkeep

Imagine coming home, tired from a long day. You set your things down on the counter momentarily, just enough to unwind and take a breath. The moment you reach to grab your stuff, it feels stuck like it was glued down. You investigate a little further and find out that the mess that was spilled last night, wasn’t exactly cleaned up as well as you thought it was

To make matters worse… that important document you meant to sign and file away is now permanently attached to your countertop as if it was fabricated that way. AND if you tried to pull it up, it would be completely destroyed.

If only you had a little more time to get down to cleaning before things like this could happen. Don’t worry! This hasn’t happened yet, but it could because you just don’t have the time to clean up

What is a General Upkeep?

A general upkeep, also known as general or surface cleaning, is a cleaning that happens after a place gets a little messy. It is the next step that comes directly after removing trash and picking things up off the floor and furniture, which helps keep homes nice and tidy.

A general upkeep also happens after wiping up a spill or other mess. It removes leftover residue from major surfaces. It’s the type of cleaning that leaves behind streaks. Anyone is capable of this level of cleaning. The difference between us and other cleaning crews is we take special care in making sure things shine.

In terms of residential cleaning, this is a basic solution for clients who need a little more help keeping their home nice and neat, on a regular basis.

In terms of commercial cleaning, this is the most popular solution to make sure the workspace is ready for the next day(s).

The Details

Process

The cleaning crew is dispatched and you will be given updated information leading up to their arrival time. Ideally our team enters your home, or business, either through someone being there or by use of a lockbox key, electronic door code, or garage code. If they’re unable to access the premises, we will call you.

Once inside, our team does everything shown on the provided checklist, or whatever checklist you provide. They will use products and tools provided to them by the company for the whole duration. If you have specific products you want them to use, please provide them along with instructions.

During the initial cleaning, or subsequent cleanings, the crew will take before and after photos to document the cleanup process. We will provide such photos, if requested.

Once the cleaning is complete, the crew puts everything back to how it was before entering, aside from trash removed. They will close the doors and lock up accordingly, then we’ll inform you of the completion. Payment can be collected on or before the appointment scheduled.

Frequency

There is no correct answer as to how often this type of cleaning can be done, but we do recommend having a general cleaning as much as twice a week.

Residential spaces can lessen the frequency to once a week, while commercial spaces may opt for up to four times a week. No matter the frequency, the results of the cleaning should be the same, every single time. That’s exactly what we do.

If this cleaning is too often for your preferences, we recommend a standard cleaning instead.
